A driver nearly hit me off my bike but the police won't act after I called her a 'stupid cow' – whose side are you on? | The Sun

A CYCLIST who was nearly knocked off their bike by a dozy driver has been old by the police that nothing will be done.

Despite catching the whole thing on video, the cyclist's language towards the driver prompted police to take no further action.

The video was uploaded to YouTube by Road.cc as part of their Near Miss of The Day section.

The rider named Stephen took the footage using a helmet camera as he rode along a road in Peterborough.

As the rider approached a side road, a white car can be seen waiting to pull out on the main road.

As Stephen gets closer the Hyundai i10 driver leaves it until the very last moment to pull out.

The car misses the cyclist, but it's uncomfortably close and given the Hyundai simply pulls out into traffic and stops the move seems unneccesary.

The cyclist yells: "Cow! You f***ing stupid cow."

He then hits the side of the car and carries on: "What are you f***ing doing, you stupid cow!

"You're going to be reported for this!"

The car then moves off up the road but is held up in traffic once again, so the cyclist goes after the driver.

He pulls up alongside and shouts: "Expect to hear from the police, because I'm going to report you."

Speaking to Road.cc about submitting the video to the police, the cyclist said: "I apologised for the swearing but I was angry and shocked that the motorist would put my life at risk just to save a few seconds.

"I also don't know how to 'beep' them out [of the footage]. This turned out to be my downfall…
