Bill Nighy, 73, is a world-renowned actor with a plethora of accolades under his belt including a Laurence Olivier Award, a Tony Award, a BAFTA and an Academy Award.

The actor, whose full name is William Francis Nighy, was born in Caterham, Surrey but now resides in Pimlico, London.

Pimlico is known for being an upscale residential area of southwest London located close to both Westminster and Chelsea.

The area has beautiful 19th-century properties which line quiet streets, chic restaurants and bustling pubs.

Walking along the waterside Thames Path, residents in the area experience glorious views of the River Thames, Vauxhall and Battersea Power Station.

The area has a plethora of hotels and is located just around the corner from the Tate Britain Gallery.

In the heart of Pimlico are residential streets which were laid down by the planner Thomas Cubitt from 1825. The most prestigious homes in this area are garden squares.

Pimlico has more than 350 buildings which are Grade II-listed and several Grade II-listed churches.

The upscale neighbourhood was once reportedly home to former Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, Sir Winston Churchill, author Ian Fleming and poet Alfred Lord Tennyson.

So it’s unsurprising that properties in Pimlico command a hefty price tag.

Properties in Pimlico had an overall average price of £1,315,709 over the last year, according to the UK’s largest property portal Rightmove.

The majority of sales in Pimlico during the last year were flats which for an eye-watering £1,031,946 on average.

Terraced properties sold for an average of £4,290,651. Overall, sold prices in Pimlico over the last year increased by five percent compared to the previous year.

However, house prices were 17 percent down on the 2014 peak of £1,588,953.

Bill was recently spotted arm-in-arm with Vogue editor Anna Wintour at the Met Gala last month.

Rumours about the actor dating Anna, who’s also 73, began in 2021 when the pair were seen enjoying several dinners together in Italy.
