Baking soda is known for getting rid of tough stains and marks in a quick and simple way. Many cleaning experts have recommended using baking soda to remove oven dirt and grease.

According to research undertaken by online bingo company Tombola, 28 percent of the British public spend 470 days cleaning over their lifetime.

Additionally, the company found that eco-friendly cleaning products have become more and more popular as Britons have begun to realise that they can save both the environment and money by using them.

Baking soda, vinegar, and lemon are just some of the environmentally friendly products that can work wonders on household appliances and surfaces.

Cleaning the kitchen can take longer than other rooms in the house because it is used often and can become dirty quickly.

However, cleaning experts at Tombola have shared ways to clean your kitchen in 30 minutes or less.

One important task to do as part of your kitchen cleaning routine is cleaning your oven.

Food traces, grease, and oil can be left in the oven for a while if not cleaned, potentially affecting the oven’s performance.

If bits of food collect at the bottom of the oven, they can cause the oven to become smoky when switched on.

Cleaning experts have long recommended using a combination of baking soda and vinegar to achieve brilliant results.

To clean your oven, mix the ingredients together to create a paste before spreading it over the inside of the oven and its door.

Leave it to set for 30 minutes, or overnight, and then wipe the paste away with a damp cloth.

Your oven should be sparkling clean, with no bits of food or dirt in sight.

Lemon juice can also come in handy when cleaning the kitchen.

It is recommended that you clean your microwave once a week, and the task is made easier with environmentally friendly ingredients.

All you need to do is fill a microwaveable bowl about halfway with water, before putting a slice of lemon in it.

Then, place the bowl in the microwave and heat it up for three minutes.

This will get rid of any dirt inside the microwave, but also of any lingering smells.

When it comes to cleaning your bathroom, a combination of baking soda and vinegar is once again your saving grace.

To unclog your sink, mix the two ingredients together and pour the mixture down the drain.

Leave it to set for 15 minutes before putting hot water down the sink.

Remember to measure the mixture properly so that it is one-part baking soda and two-parts vinegar.
