Gamers panic over huge PS5 size and warn 'you'll need new furniture' – as new console bigger than ANY other

SONY has finally revealed the long-awaited PS5 and some fans have been shocked by the size.

No official size dimensions for the console have been shared but some people are trying to solve the mystery themselves.

This size comparison image was created by Reddit user u/GREBO7.

It estimates how big the PS5 will be compared to other popular games consoles.

PlayStation fans have been left worried that they may need new furniture if the PS5 doesn't fit into their current gaming setup.

We know the digital edition is thinner because it lacks a 4K Blu-ray disc drive but even this version of the PS5 appeared large when it was revealed.

Most estimations surrounding the size of the PS5 have been done by looking at the dimensions surrounding the USB-A ports and disc drives.

These two features are a standard size so can be used to work out surrounding dimensions and then compare with other consoles.

Some people are estimating that the PS5 is over 14 inches in height.

Of course, we need to bear in mind that size concerns are currently based on guess work after the online PS5 reveal last week.

There's no need to panic buy new furniture until Sony gives official word.

The gaming giant still needs to reveal other important features such as how much it will cost.

PS5 price – how much will it cost?

Here's what you need to know…

Sony still hasn't confirmed how much the PS5 will cost.

What we do know is that there are two different models, including an all-digital edition.

This will almost certainly be cheaper, because it abandons the disc-tray (and therefore the UHD Blu-ray player).

We spoke to gadget expert Paolo Pescatore, who said the console will have a premium price, thanks to the slick new design and high performance.

"Expect a price point somewhere between £400-500 for both models," said savvy analyst Paolo, of PP Foresight, speaking to The Sun.

"Obviously the digital only version should be cheaper (maybe under £400).

He added: "Watch out for some introductory bundles at launch."

In other news, Call of Duty has added a new Warzone Solos mode.

People have been sharing hilarious PS5 memes online.

And, a Japanese firm is selling a bonkers "gaming bed" with headphone hangers, cup holders and a desk for your PC monitors.
