Viewers of Channel 4’s Undercover Boss USA saw the president of the bridal shop go undercover to find out what happens on the shop floor. Leanne is the assistant store manager in the Dublin, Ohio branch.

Leanne had a hard time growing up so did not think she would have been able to get these opportunities.

Due to her creative ways, Me Quintel wanted to promote Leanne and offer her an additional role in the company as well as make her manager of the store.

He said: “I loved how you created fun incentives and games in the store to help your team hit targets so I would like you to come to our headquarters and lead a committee to develop ways to provide incentives for all employees.”

Additionally, as Leanne mentioned she was getting married, Mr Quentel wanted to make sure the bridal shop was able to make her day special.

He said: “I want to make sure Alfred Angelo provides you with any dresses you might need. Whether that’s for your bridesmaids, flower girls and most importantly your fiancee.”

In tears, Leanne thanked the undercover boss.

He continued: “The most incredible part of your story was how the struggle after becoming homeless.

“So me and the Alfred Angelo family would like to give you $25,000 (around £21,000) towards a deposit of any home you and your partner ultimately want.

“Also $10,000 (around £8,500) to pay for any moving expenses and furniture.”

In shock Leanne said: “Oh my gosh, Thank you so much, he gave me so much.

“No one in my family has ever owned a house so I will be the first person.

“They say good things don’t happen to people like me, but they were wrong.”

Growing up, Leanne was never settled as she had nowhere to live.

She used to stay with different friends for a few weeks at a time before becoming homeless.

She said: “It was devastating to me when I had to leave and I didn’t really have any place to go.

“A lot of people think that homeless people, there’s not really anywhere for them to go but down, but if you really want something, and you keep pushing, you can get it. I’m actually pretty lucky.”

Mr Quentel admired Leanne’s strength. Once he revealed himself he knew he had to help her due to her perseverance despite what life had thrown at her.

It was her constant determination that allowed her to keep fighting.

She applied for a sales job and was able to work her way up through the years to managerial positions.
